Due to a new route win we are now recruiting PCV licence holders and car licence holders looking for a new career.


We have not had an opportunity to invite applicants to Westbourne Park for many years so this is an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to work in a busy Central London location.

 
Along with our existing fleet, we have welcomed in a large number of new double deck buses this year and have opened our new bus deck at the rear of the site.

Various parts of the garage have been upgraded over the last few years including the canteen within the building. Travelling links to the garage are great with an Underground station across the road and a fantastic network of buses.

Role Requirements:

Full current Driving Licence

No more than 3 penalty points on your licence

No driving bans in the last 5 years

You must be flexible in your approach to work and prepared to work shifts

You must possess good customer service skills

You must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

You must have a UK/EU passport or leave to remain  and work in the UK
with at least 12 months remaining before the date of expiry

RESOURCING AND RECRUITMENT EXECUTIVE

A new opportunity has arisen for a Resourcing and Recruitment Executive based at our Westbourne Park Garage.
You will be responsible for planning and interviewing new entrant staff into the roles of Bus Driver and Trainee Bus Driver and you will also be responsible for the same process as requested by the HR Director for other vacancies within the organisation.

The primary responsibilities of the role will be

  • Responsible for working with the current Recruitment Team to carry out Interviews across the business as required. Due to business demands Driver Recruitment will be the main focus of work.
  • Review and Research advertising and attraction methods to find the widest possible pool of candidates and skills.
  • Work with the business to understand and put in place a workforce plan which reflects the recruitment requirements of the business.
  • Involved and taking the lead on candidate vetting.
  • Where required build up working relationships with Agencies and other suppliers to ensure the Company is viewed as a professional organisation.
  • Review Recruitment paperwork, policies and procedures to ensure they reflect the law and Company standards .
  • Where relevant update and develop systems to ensure the smooth running of the Recruitment process.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining statistics within the Recruitment department and provide timely statistics as requested by the Recruitment Manager and HR Director.
  • Invigilate both DVSA Theory Tests and City and Guilds exams where required.
  • To undertake any additional reasonable duties at the request of your Line Manager.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills both oral and written and must have evidence of successfully managing or coaching staff relationships. You must have a flexible approach to the hours of work given the multi site, multi national nature of the business and the possible need to respond to Recruitment challenges that maybe outside of the usual office hours. Some experience of Project management would be advantageous in being able to support the business in vacancy succession or growth challenges.

The salary for this role will be £27,000 per annum.

VEHICLE ENGINEERS

Closing Date: Thursday 31 August 2017

We are now looking to recruit Vehicle Engineers across our London sites at Lea Interchange Depot and Westbourne Park Garage.

The successful candidates must have excellent core skills relevant to their trade and have experience of commercial and/or a variety of passenger carrying vehicle types. A relevant apprenticeship and/or appropriate qualifications, such as an NVQ or specialised manufactures courses are preferred.

Ideally you will be a self-motivated individual who has a flexible approach to work and a keen interest in further developing their skills and participating in relevant and appropriate training and assessments. The successful candidates should be able to demonstrate good leadership skills and must hold a full, clean driving licence and holding a PCV licence would be a distinct advantage.

The weekly pay for the role is a minimum of £639 based on a 40 hour week, plus shift premiums, as there will be a requirement to work an early / late shift rota that includes weekends.
There may be the opportunity to work some overtime and this will be paid at an enhanced rate.
