Role Requirements:

Full current Driving Licence

No more than 3 penalty points on your licence

No driving bans in the last 5 years

You must be flexible in your approach to work and prepared to work shifts

You must possess good customer service skills

You must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

You must have a UK/EU passport or leave to remain  and work in the UK
with at least 12 months remaining before the date of expiry

Checkable 5 year work history

ASSISTANT TO DEPOT BASED MANAGERS

Closing Date: 27 November 2017

We are looking to recruit an Administrator to primarily support the Staff Managers at Westbourne Park, but you may also be asked to support the Operations Manager. Your primary focus will be organising and arranging meetings and hearings for the Staff Managers, ensuring they have all the necessary paper work. Note taking will also be a feature.

To be successful you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and very strong organization skills. 
Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Arranging appraisal meetings and ensuring that the relevant and appropriate letters are sent in a timely manner including tracking and arranging the 1, 3 and 6 month probation reviews. 
  • Assisting with fact finding interviews, including arranging the meeting and ensuring that the Staff Manager has all the relevant papers to conduct the hearing at the given time.
  • Assisting with disciplinary meetings, this may include diary management for managers and possible Union Representatives, ensuring that all parties are advised in a timely manner of the meeting date and time.  Sending out any relevant papers in good time.
  • Assisting in the management of attendance – including extracting data form First Care so that the manager has a full picture of the absence history of employees.
  • Support Staff Managers in managing Driving Standards, providing an analysis of the Drive Green history and current score and referring to the Driving Standards Database to extract any relevant information.
  • Interacting with all employees to ensure that the company standards are maintained, particularly in relation to safety rules, Log Card completion, Pre Service Checks, wearing the uniform etc.
  • Working closely with the Forward Allocators when arranging meetings ensuring that Drivers are available and stood down and that the cost to the business is minimised.
  • Promoting a health and safety culture and complying with ISO standards.

The salary for this post is £20,000.00 per annum. 

You must possess strong communication skills both written and verbal as you will need to communicate both verbally and in writing with a diverse workforce where English may not be the first language.
