Due to a new route win we are now recruiting PCV licence holders and car licence holders looking for a new career.


We have not had an opportunity to invite applicants to Westbourne Park for many years so this is an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to work in a busy Central London location.

 
Along with our existing fleet, we have welcomed in a large number of new double deck buses this year and have opened our new bus deck at the rear of the site.

Various parts of the garage have been upgraded over the last few years including the canteen within the building. Travelling links to the garage are great with an Underground station across the road and a fantastic network of buses.

Role Requirements:

Full current Driving Licence

No more than 3 penalty points on your licence

No driving bans in the last 5 years

You must be flexible in your approach to work and prepared to work shifts

You must possess good customer service skills

You must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

You must have a UK/EU passport or leave to remain  and work in the UK
with at least 12 months remaining before the date of expiry

Job Benefits:

Free travel on all London Buses/Underground/DLR/London Overground.  Nominee pass is obtainable after three months service.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Closing Date: Friday 29 September 2017

Due to a restructure, we are now looking to recruit an Operations Manager at Lea Interchange Depot. You will lead the depot through your operational management team, liaising closely with the Head of Engineering and the Engineering Managers. You will report directly to the Tower Transit Head of Operations, and work with the Safety Manager and the Head of Service Delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining / enhancing operational standards in key areas, including safety, legal compliance, service performance, and people management.
  • Achieving the Depot’s agreed financial and operational targets
  • Ensuring that the Depot is adequately resourced to meet its workload requirements
  • Proactively leading your direct reports ensuring that they are properly managed and appropriately developed
  • Promoting a harmonious and effective working relationship with the Depot based Trade Union representatives
  • Delivering all short and long-term Depot Improvement Plans

 

We are looking for an individual with previous experience of managing a site-based team in a similar operational environment, and who has the enthusiasm and passion for working in a forward thinking company that is keen to develop processes and procedures that benefit the business. Experience of managing in the bus sector or a similar industry and of managing to tight commercial contracts would be an advantage. Ideally you will be financially aware and have leadership skills to enable you to provide effective day to day direction to your team. A CPC in Passenger Transport would be a distinct advantage.

Overall the role would suit an enthusiastic team player who is able to deliver in a fast moving dynamic operational environment and who is able to support the delivery of excellent performance within the challenging environment of London’s busy streets.

Salary dependant on skills and experience.
